"Give your children a hand"

The implementation of the project proposal will guarantee the provision of the new services in the Community on the territory of Haskovo, for which the suitable infrastructure has already been built with the financial support of OPRG. The project envisages the establishment of the following new services: - New Day care Center for Children with Disabilities and Their Parents ( 30 children for day care and 60 for consultancy services), where the children will receive specialized support from qualified specialists for development and social inclusion. - New Transitional Housing for Children between 15 and 18 of age ( 8 children). The children and youth will be prepared to cope with the social exclusion and protect their interests. During the implementation of the project, materials and equipment, which were not provided by the project financed under OPRG due to lack of finances, will be delivered. A specialized vehicle is going to be bought for satisfying the special needs of the children with disabilities. The current project proposal will contribute to the achievement of the main goal of the National strategy “Vision for deinstitutionalisation of children in Bulgaria” - “To guarantee the children’s right to a family environment and access to quality care and services according to their individual needs”. The project objectives included in the proposal are in full correspondence with the main objectives of Priority axis 2 "Reducing poverty and promoting social inclusion" and in particular with SO №3 "Reducing the number of children and youth, placed in institutions by providing community-based social and health services". With the implementation of the project activities will be guaranteed the quality provision of the new social and healthcare services, which will contribute to the achievement of the objectives and priorities of the procedure: Implementation of models for quality alternative care for children and youth including children with disabilities.
