"Providing 5 new social and integrated health and social services for children and families on the territory of Burgas Municipality"

The present project contributes to the continuation of the deinstitutionalization process of the care for children deprived of parental care and living in institutions, and envisages opening and functioning of new supportive and accompanying services for children and families providing them with equal access to opportunities for social inclusion. The main objective of the project is to provide quality alternative care for children and young people, including those with disabilities and their families, on the territory of Burgas Municipality, ensuring their life in a family environment and equal access to social inclusion services. The planned activities include establishing of 5 new community based social services and residential services to provide both social and integrated social and health care corresponding to the individual needs of users: - Daily centre to support children and young people with severe and multiple disabilities and their families; - Daily centre to support children with disabilities and their families; - Centre for community support for children and families; - Monitored housing for young people between 18 and 21 years of age; - Transitional housing for children between 15 and 18 years of age. The implementation of the project will ensure equal access to quality care and services for children and young people according to their individual needs; building skills for independent living and preparing them for inclusion in community life; expanding the network of services to prevent child abandonment and separation from their biological parents and families; providing support to the families of children with disabilities in their upbringing.
