Opening social service facilities for children

Under OP Regions in Growth 2014-2020, Priority Axis 5 Regional Social Infrastructure, project name BG16RFOP001-5.001 Support for deinstitutionalisation of childcare, Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo has been implementing the project: Construction of social service facilities for children. The deadline for the implementation of the project activities is 12/03/2020 within which the following social services are constructed, repaired, furnished and equipped: - Day Care Center for children with severe multiple disabilities and their families, having a capacity of 30 people for day care, and 60 people for consulting services – 1pc; - Transitional housing for children, aged 15-18, having a capacity of 8 people – 1 pc. - Renovation /furnishing /equipment of premises to expand the existing Community Support Center – 1 pc; The above-mentioned social services for the Municipality of Veliko Turnovo have been approved in the Community and Family Support Services Map and the Residential Services Map, adopted on 07/12/2016 at a meeting of the Inter-service task force on the management and coordination of the process of deinstitutionalisation of childcare, formed by representatives of all institutions involved in the process of deinstitutionalisation in accordance with the Updated Action Plan for the implementation of the National Strategy “Vision for the deinstitutionalisation of children in the Republic of Bulgaria". Through the implementation of the project: Opening social service facilities for children, which includes the establishment of a Day care center for children with severe multiple disabilities and their families and Transitional housing for children, aged 15-18, the main goal of the National Strategy “Vision for the deinstitutionalisation of children in the Republic of Bulgaria" will be achieved, namely: "Safeguarding children’s rights of family environment and access to quality care and services according to their individual needs. "
