Establishment of seven new social services in the community for children and families on the territory of Sofia Municipality

The project proposal is aimed at continuing the process of deinstitutionalization of childcare and the establishment of 7 new soc. services, providing the possibility for soc.inclusion and adaptations: 3 Community Support Centers (with the possibility of emergency accommodation of 4 persons) in Nadezhda, Poduyane and Vitosha districts; 1 Daily Care Center for children with disabilities and their families (with the priority of physical and mobility disabilities) in Nadezhda district; 1 Daily Care Center for children with disabilities and their families in Ovcha Kupel district; 2 Daily Care centers for children with severe multiple disabilities and their families in Nadezhda and Vitosha districts. Target groups: Children from 0 to 18 yr old at risk and their families Children from 3 to 18 yr old with disabilities and their families Children from 3 to 18 yr old with disabilities placed in community residential services and their families. An exception is Daily Care Centre for Children with disabilities in Nadezhda district, with priority for physical and motor, mobility disabilities. The target group there will be for children from 0 to 18 yr old. The project includes a procedure for the selection and hiring of specialized staff. The project aims to provide additional equipment and furniture, which will give the opportunity for more diverse events, therapies with the target groups, for the acquisition of social, hygienic, coordination, and other skills. In order to support the establishment of new soc.services a specialized vehicle will be bought - a minibus with wheelchair seats and ramp, 7+1. The infrastructure where the social services will be established was reconstructed with funding under OPRG 2014-2020
