Social And Economic Integration Of Marginalized Communities Such As The Roma In The Municipality Of Rakovski

The project includes health, social and educational services that are targeted to children from marginalized communities - such as the Roma and their families - on the territory of Rakovski Municipality. The package of innovative health, social and educational services covers the construction of two centers called "houses" in two of the villages in Rakovski - Bolyarino and Momino Selo. "Houses" are premises of municipal buildings. There will be 2 social-health mediators working on an 8-hour working day, 2 hostesses on an 8-hour working day and 2 pedagogues on a 4-hour working day. Each of them will receive training organized by the partner of the Municipality of Rakovski under this project "National Alliance for Work with Volunteers" (NAWV) - Plovdiv. Main activities will be focused on hygiene habits, health and education of Roma children and their families. There are five elementary schools in the municipality of Rakovski, which cover students from all the settlements, two of which are centers of primary education. For the needs of the project will be prepared by the partner NRWV - 6 persons "educational mediator" appointed on an 8-hour working day. They will focus on the role and the relationship teacher - parent - pupil in the educational environment and beyond. The main activities of the mediators will be: - Accompanying children from pre-school age and primary school pupils to educational institutions support both in the educational process and in the social-health direction. The activities of these specialists will continue among the Roma families in the form of home visits. Within the project, specialized equipment and furniture will be purchased to provide the target group with a safe and secure environment for the implementation and delivery of the services offered. At the end of the project period, an event will be organized to summarize the work of the project, to show the results achieved and to focus on the future continuation of the activities.
