Establishment and functioning of a Crisis Center in Yambol Municipality

The current project proposal envisages the establishment and provision of a new type of social service for the Municipality of Yambol – „Crisis Center” with a capacity of 12 persons. The service will provide protection for children and elderly people victims of violence, trafficking or other forms of exploitation. Users will be able to benefit the service for up to 6 months within one calendar year. The services are aimed at providing individual support, meeting daily needs and providing legal advice to consumers and socio-psychological assistance when immediate intervention is required. In the building of the Crisis Center, which will be renovated, equipped and furnished under the project "Creating a Crisis center in Yambol Municipality" under Priority Axis 1 of the Operational Program "Regions in Growth " 2014-2020, there will be separate offices for administrative staff and specialists, rooms for users with appropriate conditions for personal space and privacy, and rooms for common activities with other users and the team of the center. The services will be provided in two units: the Crisis Intervention Unit and the Psycho-Social Support Unit. For provision of the service, staff will be selected and trained. Qualified specialists for the provision of social services will be appointed, incl. social worker, psychologist, educator, medical person, as well as administrative and support staff, and if necessary external specialists and consultants from various fields as their area of activity and number will be appropriate to the prepared individual social assessments of the users. After the completion of the project, the Municipality of Yambol will continue to provide the service as a delegated state activity. The establishment of the Crisis Center will complement and expand the existing network of social services in the community in the Municipality of Yambol. The services will improve the quality of life of people from the target groups and their families.
