Unit for providing supporting services in home environment

Project „Providing support services unit in home environment” is directed at improvement of the quality of life of 50 disabled persons and elderly people over the age of 65 in a situation of impossibility to serve themselves on the territory of Lom Municipality, by providing integrated support services in home environment. The project builds up the so called “Providing hourly services unit for social inclusion” project, funded under scheme BG05M9OP001-2.002 – Independent life under “Human resources development” Operational program 2014-2012 In 15 months the following main activities will be implemented under the project: 1. Providing support services – social and health, including integrated cross-sectoral services in the community or at home environment according to the individual needs of people with disabilities and people over the age of 65 in a situation of impossibility to serve themselves. 2. Local social activities for social inclusion, directed at removing obstacles to equal participation in the public life and cultural and entertainment activities in the municipality by the persons from the target groups, including: visiting theaters, concerts, public events, active participation at the events of the cultural calendar of the town and others. As a result of the implementation of the complex of activities, the quality of life of disabled people and people over the age of 65 in a situation of impossibility to serve themselves will be improved by creating conditions for support of the effective exercising the right for independent life and social inclusion by respecting their rights and taking into account their opportunities and specific needs.
