"The right to independent living by improving access to affordable sustainable health and social services and creating an integrated approach on the territory of the LAG - LOM"

The project proposal is in line with the objectives set out in Priority Axis 2 "Poverty Reduction and Promotion of Social Inclusion", IP- 3 "Increasing access to affordable, sustainable and high-quality services, including health and social services of general interest" under the Human Resources Development O P 2014-2020 through the implementation of the activities under Measure 12 of the MBO: LAG LOM.The provision of social services to persons with permanent disabilities and adults with limited or incapacity to self-service in the home environment will support both the persons themselves and dependent family members and will enable them to actively participate in the socio-economic life of the community. The implementation of this project will create the necessary prerequisites for: - Decentralization of the hourly services in the home environment; - Prevent the placement of persons with permanent disabilities in specialized institutions; - Support the target groups for equal participation in public life; - It will involve a large group of people in real employment. The activities included in this project proposal are tailored to the eligible activities described in the Guidelines for Applicants and the identified needs of potential service users. The envisaged strategy for realization of the project activities is aimed at achieving high quality of the services provided, creating good practices and their sustainable multiplication in the conditions of decentralized provision of the service. The analysis of the consequences of the changing socio-economic environment in the municipality of Lom shows that the social status of the disabled is significantly reduced - the growth of the unemployment, the structural economic changes are contributing factors for the social isolation of this group of people. The SCOF finds and concludes that different types of social services are needed for people with permanent disabilities aimed at meeting their specific needs.
