Expansion of the social enterprise "Workshop of Caritas"

“Workshop of Caritas” is a soap and candle maker social enterprise, founded in 10.2018. The company employs 12 persons from the target groups of disabled people and disadvantaged persons on the labor market. Through the activities planned under this project we will work in three main directions: 1. Increase the volume of produced products, by reallocating the operations carried out and recruiting new persons from vulnerable groups. It will be employed a "packer" who will take over some of the duties of workers producing soaps and candles. In this way, they will not need to interrupt the production process to pack and label manufactured products, as well as various finishing operations that greatly slow them down. A person in a"host warehouse" position will be hired, which will be responsible already produced and packaged goods to be properly stored. He will also be responsible for moving the merchandise to the store that will be revealed to the workshop and to the person handling the online orders. This person will also be responsible for the proper storage, receipt and removal of raw materials for soap and candle making. 2. Establish a small shop to the enterprise where the products of the workshop and other social enterprises will be sold. In this way we will expand our business and provide some permanent market for the products. For this purpose, two persons from the target group, will be hired to work in the shop like "sales consultants". 3. Develop an online store to sell products of the enterprise and other social enterprises. In this way our products will be able to reach a wider range of people and thus help to promote social entrepreneurship in Bulgaria. By implementing the activities under these three guidelines, we will be able to provide a larger market for our products and tangibly expand the business of the social enterprise.
