Help, support, realisation

The project "Help, Support, Realisation" of the Association Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) is tergeting adults with disabilities and their families, in particular "People with hearing disorders". The approximate number of people with hearing impairments to date is about 120,000 Bulgarian citizens, 30,000 of whom communicate in sign language. Due to the specificity of the disability, the free communication of hearing impaired people is different, difficult and sometimes impossible in the ordinary environment of people without disabilities. This puts them in a significant isolation in society violating principles of equality, integration, social and labor realization. The project proposal is intended to provide assistance, support and implementation of 50 representatives of target group by creating complex services tailored to the needs of people with hearing impairment and their families the ones they have no access or the access is limited due to lack of awareness, accessibility and / or experience. The foreseen activities results from carefully studying the problems faced by people with this disability. The main activities for realization of the project are: - Providing a gesture interpreter/ sign language interpeters; - Provision of social and administrative assistance; - Provision of legal services and advice; To achieve the objectives of the project proposal, a team will be set up to organize and manage the project, as well as to carry out information and communication activities reflecting the direct results of the activities involved. For the implementation of these activities, experts and specialists with the necessary experience and qualification for work with persons with hearing disorders will be hired.
