Initiative for development and social inclusion - for our children

The main objective of the project is to improve the system of services for active social inclusion of children at risk and their families through the development of integrated and coordinated cross-sectoral services in 8 municipalities in the Plovdiv region. The specific objectives for achieving impact are: improving the possibilities for coordination between interdisciplinary services for children and families from vulnerable groups by setting up integrated services for social inclusion; reducing the risk of social exclusion of children and families by improving their access to integrated and coordinated support and development services; raising public awareness of the problems faced by people at risk and their opportunities for active social inclusion. Through the project a system of interaction and coordination will be piloted between the interdisciplinary services in the community and a wide range of stakeholders in the territory of the included municipalities. Families will gain access to innovative integrated programmes for development and socialisation, which will reach at least 200 children at risk and their families. The project will also raise public awareness and impact attitudes towards people at risk of social exclusion by engaging key partners, media and stakeholders. The specific activities with which these results will be achieved: 1) Conducting public events for informing and engaging stakeholders and establishing a system of interaction and coordination; 2) Setting up a programme for multidisciplinary assessment of the needs of the child and the family and directing them to the use of services; 3) Setting up a programme for consultative and therapeutic support by a multidisciplinary team of social and healthcare professionals, including provision of mobile services; 4) Setting up a programme for the development and socialisation of children by encouraging the activity of local structures for organising events for children.
