Providing support for inclusion in employment of people with disabilities

The current project is aimed at creating opportunities for active social inclusion of people with disabilities on the labour market. The project is implemented in cooperation between National patient’s organization Association and Bulgarian Industrial Association. Both organizations have extensive experience in activities, initiatives and projects, which main purpose is to support people with disabilities in integrating on the labour market. In that respect, the purposes and the activities set out in the project proposal express the sequence and the sustainability of the applicant and the partner’s work with disabled people. The project is focused on providing support for overcoming the specific problems faced by people with disabilities and their families in their everyday life, which impede the most their realization on the labour market. Project activities contribute issues such as discrimination, poor health status, employer mistrust, medication, desocialization and demotivation as a result of prolonged illness, low qualification, etc. to be overcome. The participating organizations in the project envisage achieving the project’s main goal through an approach based on three main components - bringing the target group closer together with business representatives (Action 1), conducting an information campaign, which aims to promote the employment opportunities for the target groups (Action 2) and provision of a new comprehensive social and health service to support the inclusion of the target group representatives (Action 3) in employment. The project will be implemented for a period of 13 months and a has a total budget of BGN 195,058.5. In this way, the project proposal will contribute to the active inclusion, improvement of the opportunities and participation in employment of the target groups on the basis of quality health and social services, communication with employers and awareness.
