Social inclusion through employment

The basic goal of the project proposal is to ensure conditions and supporting environment to include the disabled people in the Work Market and Creation of Preconditions for their Socialization. Target group of the project are people with different disabilities. The activities develop in three directions: The first one is directly connected with enhancing the abilities of the disabled people- developing their skills, motivation, to encourage them to self-development, and personal planning. For the purpose, a special place- Center for labor adjustment and socialization, will be created where the disabled people will receive qualified help, consultations, psychological support, evaluation of the abilities, creating and put into practice individual programs of social inclusion and help in finding the proper job. The second activitie targets the support of the already included in the work market persons with disabilities - appointing mentors who will helping the persons through the period of adaptation. They will ensure the proper organization of the work environment in a way that the protection, safety, accessibility of the disabled people to the working place, resources and necessary equipment will be guaranteed. They will support the persons during the fulfillment of their work tasks and help them to show their strong personal features.Third direction of the project development is changing society attitudes toward people with disabilities. The activities put the accent on the potentialities and abilities of the disabled people. The basic expected results of the recent project are: increasing the number of disabled people who are looking for job; increasing the number of occupied and included in the society disabled people; increasing the number of employers who hire disabled people; positive change of society’s attitude towards the disabled people.
