Improving access to social services and better employability in Balchik Municipality

The project proposal of Balchik Municipality under procedure BG05M9OP001-2.037 is related to ensuring access to employment for people with disabilities and overcoming the negative attitude of employers towards their problems as well as increasing the number of members of families with care for people with disabilities to start to look for a job. Balchik municipality will implement integrated approaches for motivating and encouraging the inactive or unemployed persons to enter the labor market. Applicants wishing to be included in the Project as carers will be trained. Vocational training will be carried out in compliance with the requirements of the Vocational Education and Training Act. The project is related to the provision of care to the home by carers of needy persons from the target groups. People with disabilities and adults at risk will also receive psychological support and health-advisory services. The project will cover people in need from both Balchik and the villages on the territory of Balchik Municipality. The envisaged activities are in accordance with the criteria and standards for adult social services that will be applied to the selection of end users. The duration of the project is 24 months, with a period for provision of social services for 21 months. The project will include 13 inactive or unemployed participants and 2 persons with disabilities with a right to work and 35 disabled participants over 18 who receive services.
