Patronage Care in Kyustendil Municipality

The project envisages the establishment of a Center for Patronage Care to the Social Services Complex - Kyustendil. It will provide hourly mobile integrated health and social services for disabled and elderly people in their homes. Integrated health and social services will be provided by medical specialists, physiotherapist or physical therapist, psychologist and social mediators. Providing the mobile, integrated services from the center on the territory of Kyustendil Municipality, including the town and 71 settlements will be improved the quality of life of the target group. The envisaged activities in the project will protect the public interest and will meet the needs of the population, largely aging and lonely living alone in remote and mountainous areas. The implementation of the project will create conditions and support the effective exercise of their right to independent living and social inclusion, while respecting their rights, taking into account their capabilities and specific needs. By providing mobile integrated services for social inclusion in the community and in home environment, aims to improve access to basic social and health services and achieve independence and social integration for adults and people with disabilities. In the context of the achieved positive results the center will contribute to enhance the quality of life of people from vulnerable groups and-or their families provided during the previous programming period by promoting equal opportunities for vulnerable groups and expanding the volume, diversity and the purposefulness of social services provided in the community. The implementation of the project is a performance of the national policy and it is a part of the overall process of deinstitutionalization of care for people with disabilities and the elderly, through the development of alternative community support the provision of quality and affordable long term care services.
