Home Care for Elderly People in Kubrat Municipality

The project’s goal is to create a model for providing a set of opportunities for choosing mobile integrated health and social services in domestic environment to disabled and elderly people over the age of 65, who have limited or no ability for self-care and cannot maintain their living conditions and daily needs. The project Home Care for Elderly People in Kubrat Municipality is intended to disabled and elderly people over the age of 65 who have limited or no ability for self-care. Mobile integrated health and social services will be rendered as hourly services by specialists, working in the area of health and social care and also by unemployed people who have the necessary qualifications. The current project aims at giving a good example for full support and focusing on high quality social service for people in need. The following activities are envisaged in the current project proposal: providing hourly mobile, integrated health and social services in domestic environment to people in need from the target group: disabled and elderly people over the age of 65 with limited or no ability for self-care; training and supervision of the staff, providing the services; providing psychological support and consultations including motivational and other support, according to the individual needs of the people using the services. The project aims at improving the quality of life of the disabled and elderly people by providing a network of services in domestic environment and ensuring the necessary capacity for their provision. Through the project execution integrated services will be provided to the target group on one hand, and on the other hand employment will be provided to the unemployed but able to work people. Thus, opportunities will be presented to the disabled and elderly people over the age of 65 who have limited or no ability for self-care to choose the desired health and social service.
