“Patronage care for elderly and disabled people in Pavlikeni municipality”

There are many people in Pavlikeni municipality, who are partially or completely unable to take care of themselves due to their poor health and/or old age. They have daily care needs, improved access to medical and social services, and social networking. In order to satisfy their needs, Pavlikeni municipality makes the current project. It aims to provide accessible, high-quality services for the disabled and elderly people through provision of network of services in home environment. The current project proposal will widen the volume and diversity of the provided social services in Pavlikeni municipality, and it will improve the life quality and opportunities for social inclusion of the disabled and elderly people thus defending the public interest and responding to the needs of the population. The project plans to build up model of patronage cares for the target groups with the aim to provide part-time mobile integrated medical and social services in their homes. The services will be provided by medical experts, a psychologist, social assistants, etc. All the medical specialists and people who are engaged in the provision of the patronage cares will go through training under a program of the Ministry of Health. For the project purposes a car will be purchased to ensure the movement to the homes of the users of the integrated health and social service staff. The project’s target groups are: - Disabled people and their families; - Elderly people over 65 years of age with limitations or inability to self-handle.
