Patronage care in the municipalities of Elena, Zlataritsa, Lyaskovets and Strazhitsa

The implementation of the Patronage Care project in the municipalities of Elena, Zlataritsa, Lyaskovets and Strazhitsa will introduce an innovative form for providing integrated health and social services in the home environment and in the four municipalities. The project target group is older people over 65 with limited or inability to self-service, as well as people with disabilities and their families. In the four municipalities there is a trend of aging population. Decrease in working age and increases in persons over working age. Because of the migration of young people to large cities where work is easier, most of the elderly live alone. Many people aged over 65, who have retained their ability to live independently, suffer from serious concomitant health problems. They are self-isolation and do not participate in public life. There are no transport links to the municipal centers, there are no private doctors and medical specialists in the villages, which limits the receipt of health and medical assistance. The implementation of the project will provide adequate medical health care, which will be provided by the hired specialists. The provided health services will prevent the risk of disabling and entering users in nursing homes or residential-type services. This project proposal will improve access to health-social services and psychological support. The following activities will be carried out on the project: Selection of users and staff for the provision of integrated services; Provision of hourly mobile integrated health and social services; Providing psychological support, counseling; Staff training and supervision; Purchase a vehicle. Social workers, nurses, doctors, psychologists, social work associates, social assistants will be appointed for the provision of the health and social services complex.
