Patronage care of Municipality of Gulyantsi

The aim of the project is to improve the quality of life and the opportunities for disabled and elderly people to take part into the society by providing a system of services in home environment and to develop a material capacity for their provision. The project is planned to provide a number of social services designed to provide care and help in home environment. Specialized medical care will be provided for elderly and disabled people, who suffer from chronic illnesses. The service covers a variety of activities related to society, health, administration and everyday life together with activities aimed at improving the quality of life of elderly and disabled people, depending on their condition and disability. The services will be offered hourly or under the request of 54 users, whose needs will be evaluated. The point of these particular actions is to stimulate the user’s activity and health care and to reduce the risks in their homes and the risks of institutional care dependence. Each one of the users will receive both health and social care for up to 2 hours a day in home environment. Medical and social services professionals will be engaged after they pass a specialized training program, which is based on the program for providing patronage care and service’s quality standarts developed from Component 1 of the Ministry of healthcare. After a procedure made by the Public Procurement Act, vehicles will be bought in order to help mobile work and to improve the quality of the health and social services provided for the disabled people and the elderly people, who are unable to take care of themselves. Users in need will be consulted and will be given psychological support. Training and supervision will be provided for the staff. The project’s duration is 15 months, 12 of which will provide the patronage care service.
