Providing “Patronage Care’’ in Radomir Municipality

The project proposal is in accordance with the specific objectives set under the “Patronage Care for the Elderly and Disabled”. The project envisages activities aimed at a decentralized model for providing services in a family environment. The purpose of this project proposal is to extend the opportunities for improving the quality of life of people with disabilities from Radomir Municipality as well as their motivation for an independent way of life. For the purposes of the project integrated social-health services will be developed in a home environment. In addition to home care, for these people will be also developed community services geared to overcoming loneliness and isolation. People with chronic diseases and permanent disability will be provided with specialized medical care in their homes. This social service in the community is innovative for Radomir Municipality. It will be based in Radomir for a period of 12 months, according to a methodology developed by the Ministry of Health. The project also foresees the purchase of a means of transport that will provide mobility of the staff to the service users. By implementing the project there will be an opportunity to upgrade already existing social services and the provision of new ones. Adults, lonely people and people with disabilities will have the opportunity to use hourly mobile integrated social-health services in their homes.
