Patronal care for the elderly and people with disabilities within Veliki Preslav Municipality

With the execution of the following project: Patronal care for the elderly and people with disabilities within Veliki Preslav Municipality, new and innovative municipal mobile forms of social services will be formed. They will focus on the provision of care and support for elderly people in their home environment, as well as mobile hourly health and social services for people with physical disabilities. A selection of people will be made for patronal care and an individual evaluation will be prepared for the needs of each and every single one of them. The social health services in Veliki Preslav Municipality will accept 50 participants from the two target groups – elderly above the age of 65 and people with disabilities. A selection of personnel will be made. They will be responsible for the provision of the integrated services and will undergo training in accordance with a programme, which has been prepared by the Ministry of health. They will also receive supervision during the period of provision of services. A special room will be completely overhauled, furnished, and equipped. From there patronal care will be managed and coordinated. A vehicle will also be purchased for the fulfillment of mobile work. Besides hourly mobile integrated health and social services, people with disabilities and elderly people who are included as project participants will also receive psychological support and consultation.
