Patronage care for the elderly and persons with disabilities in the municipalities of Balchik, Kavarna, Shabla

The project proposal was drawn up jointly between the municipalities of Balchik, Kavarna and Shabla. Project activities will be aimed at supporting people with disabilities and chronic diseases and the elderly with limited or inability to self-service. For this purpose, for a period of 12 months, 106 persons from all the settlements of the three municipalities will be provided with the provision of patronage care, which will include health care, medical surveillance and social support in the home environment. The needy will be consulted and given psychological support. The persons included in the project will receive health-social services up to 2 hours a day. Providers of social services will receive training on a single program that will ensure a unified implementation of the supporting model for persons in the target group. Under the project, transport vehicles will be purchased for the municipalities of Balchik and Kavarna for the purpose of carrying out the mobile work and Shabla Municipality will purchase furniture and equipment and will carry out repairs to the premises related to the implementation of the project activities. Patronage care in the municipalities will be assigned to a unit/directorate within the municipal administrations. For the good organization of the implementation of the Project in order to create an active model for the provision of patronage care, a team for its management will be set up in each of the municipalities. Information and communication activities will be implemented that will meet the conditions and requirements described in the Information and Communication Rules 2014-2020.
