"Projet intégré pour assurer l'intégration socio-économique des groupes vulnérables dans la municipalité de Burgas"

Project aims improving quality of life, social inclusion and poverty reduction, as well as permanent integration of representatives of target groups through implementation of complex measures and application of integrated approaches. Planned activities are corresponding with identified needs and problems of target groups and will contribute to their permanent integration into society through labor market inclusion, access to education and training, access to social and health services, and identified need of social housing. The activities include training in key competences, professional information and counseling and psychological assistance to people from vulnerable groups during their choice for career development. In addition, the Municipal Enterprise “Municipal Properties” will employ three people from the target group; raising the health culture of citizens from ethnic minorities, incl. Roma, on diseases related to health and social problem among minority groups and disadvantaged people. The activities, under OP “Science and education for intelligent growth” aim additional training in Bulgarian language for students for whom it is not a mother tongue; additional activities with students from ethnic minorities and students at risk of dropping school, seeking or receiving international protection. Also, improving educational environment in kindergartens and schools, outside the Roma neighborhoods in the cities, where children and students from ethnic minorities and seeking or receiving international protection are educated in an integrated way. An important part of the project is working with parents. The implementation of the project will provide an opportunity for active involvement of representatives of vulnerable groups in the economic and social life of the municipality; achieving real and sustainable results in the educational integration of 100 students from Roma ethnic minority in the municipality until the completion of secondary education.
