Socio-economic integration of vulnerable groups. Integrated measures to improve access to education in Svishtov Municipality

The project is focused on the realization of integrated measures and activities to improve the quality of life, reduce poverty and overcome the risk of socially excluding the vulnerable groups from the population of Svishtov Municipality by creating an innovative model for socio-economic integration. Included are activities and services, focused on avoiding dropping out of school, integration and reintegration, tuition which also offers additional activities, training, employment, psychological and motivational support for kids and parents, providing social and health services. There are planned activities to overcome the negative stereotypes and dealing with segregation of the groups at risk including romani people. A variety of activities will be performed which will encourage cultural identity, toleration, work with participation of kids and adults. Thus, the support will include the provision of a "social package", attacking all problems which hinder their integration in Svishtov Municipality. Socio-economic integration is a process which requires systematic and determined efforts regarding the kids and the families. As part of these efforts are actions which stimulate and activate the members of the vulnerable groups and support “community youth leadership”, partner networks, as an opportunity for resilient changes. Complexly applied measures, in partnership with the municipality, schools, a kindergarten, NGO, D.A. Tsenov Academy of Economics and the associated partners will guarantee endurance and achievement of the set goals in strategic documents regarding the integration and improving the access to services. The current project will be supplemented by the provided spatial integration of the vulnerable citizens of Svishtov Municipality by project “Construction of social housing in the city of Svishtov”, by Grant agreement №BG16RFOP001-1.36-0006-C01, for constructing 27 modern housing units to accommodate vulnerable groups from the disadvantaged population.
