Disability Support Center, including persons with severe multiple disabilities and their families in Kardzhali Municipality

The project proposal provides for the opening of a Centre for The Support of Persons with Disabilities, including persons with severe multiple disabilities and their families in Kardzhali Municipality, with a capacity of 30 places, according to the Map of Community Support Services in addition to the Action Plan of 2018-2021 for implementation of the National Long-Term Care Strategy. ‪ The Centre will provide full-day, half-day and part-time services such as care, rehabilitation, therapy, counselling, information and support, including carers in a home environment, mobile services and other support activities, according to the specifics and needs of the target group. The main objective of the project is to provide quality care to persons with disabilities, including severe multiple disabilities and their families.For the purposes of the Project, the Municipality of Kardzhali provides a building in the town of Kardzhali, Blvd. "Belomorski". Project activities include construction works, equipment and furniture, purchase of means of transport, recruitment, training and supervision of staff and opening and provision of social service Center for support of persons with disabilities, including severe multiple disabilities and their families for a period of 12 months.The main target groups for the project are: persons with disabilities, including severe multiple disabilities at risk and their families and persons with disabilities, including severe multiple disabilities using resident services, and their families. The implementation of the project proposal will create conditions and prerequisites for investing in complex integrated measures aimed at improving access to social and health services for persons with disabilities, including severe multiple disabilities, as well as provide support for their caretaker families.
