Social inclusion of persons with mental disorders and intellectual disabilities

The objective of the project is through the provision of community-based social support services,people with mental disorder and people with intellectual disabilities to create or restore skills for independent living and fully inclusion in the community,according to their specific capabilities.The project activities are related to preparation of tender procedures and selection of contractors,repair and equipment of the building at 3 Ogosta Street in Vratsa, provided for Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration for Persons with Mental Disorders and for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities(CSRI),development of internal rules about the activities of the services,selection,hiring,training of staff, supervision and support in the provision of services,providing access to hourly services,performing rehabilitation,social and psychological counseling,mobile work and other specialized activities - therapy and job mentoring support.Target groups of the project are persons with mental disorders and/or intellectual disabilities placed in specialized institutions,resident social services and community services,as well as their families;employees in organizations and institutions involved in deinstitutionalization processes and employees providing social and health services in the CSRI.People with mental disorders and/or intellectual disabilities need an individual approach, psychosocial rehabilitation,social and psychological consulting and support to return their conviction in their ability to be complete citizens.The establishment of the CSRI will contribute to solve the identified needs and problems of the target group representatives.The project is being implemented with the partnership of Karlukovo State Psychiatric Hospital.As a result of its implementation,40 people with mental disorders and people with intellectual disabilities are expected to receive community-based social services and provide support for social inclusion according to their individual needs.
