Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration of People with Mental Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities

The project proposal is aimed at the establishment of a Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration of People with Mental Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities /abr. CSRIPMDID/. The Center will guarantee professional support by providing integrated psychosocial services to people with mental disorders and intellectual disabilities and to their families involved in taking care of them. The support team will consist of 12 specialists with proven professional experience in various fields (social, psychological, psychotherapeutic, occupational and art therapeutic activities, consultative and legal support, etc.). The Center will offer hourly care, visits at home as well as consulting services for the relatives of the people in question. The users of the service will be provided with the opportunity to participate in rehabilitation and therapeutic groups, as well as individual support, in order to build skills for independent living as well as active social inclusion and last but not least, to increase their motivation for work accomplishment and their self-confidence for competitiveness on the job market. The initial phase for the social project consists of the renovation of a municipal owned property, as well as the equipment and furnishing of the premises. Said renovation, both of the building and its furnishing, will be completely adapted to the regulatory requirements for accessible architectural environment, as well as to the criteria and standards for providing quality care to the target groups. The building is one-storey, located in a communicative place, easily accessible by means of public transport. It complies with the requirements of the Managing Authority specified in the Conditions for Application. The project will provide an opportunity to improve the users' abilities for independent co-existence and social activity and to motivate them for work fulfillment through targeted activities for integration and prevention of their social exclusion.
