“Support for Full Social Inclusion and Personal Development”

The “Support for Full Social Inclusion and Personal Development” project promotes the social inclusion and development of the personality of adults benefitting from residential care. The target group for the project is comprised of: • 9 persons from the Center for Family-type Accommodation for People with Mental Disabilities; • 6 persons from the CNST for people with mental disorders in Bobov Dol; • and 5 persons from the Protected housing for people with mental disorders in the Simitli municipality. The project implements activities and measures towards the development of skills for independent living, learning and work through the creation and implementation of programs for individual and group work supporting personal growth and social inclusion for the people in the target group while focusing on: 1. Conducting therapeutic activities to compensate for developmental disabilities 2. Introducing new measures and methods - beyond the known and traditional ones - conducting training sessions and therapeutic activities during or in combination with modern innovative art therapies. 3. Restoration / development of self-management skills 4. Ensuring the right of choice and participation of the individual in building an individual program for personal development and social inclusion, based on a thorough examination and analysis of their needs, personality characteristics, interests, opportunities for personal growth, improvement of psycho-social functioning, motivation for change and reflection on everyday life; joining the labor collective. 5. Introducing a modern model of psycho-social and art-therapeutic rehabilitation for people with mental disorders and intellectual disabilities. Taking action on social inclusion, notably in the area of employment and education.
