The project proposal provides an opportunity for the preparation of individual programs for the development of the personality and social inclusion of persons accommodated in the Home for Mentally Disabled Adults in Draganovo village, municipality Gorna Oryahovitsa.The emphasis of the programs is the training for self-management and motivation for social inclusion. The project involves the implementation of activities beyond those performed by the teams of the specialized institution and social services in the community - achieving social integration through the establishment of a dance art club, organizing musical performances, organizing interest groups, attracting like-minded people , stakeholders, volunteers. The activities are carried out by a multidisciplinary team of specialists with different education and qualification profile. The project covers the social integration of the target groups - persons housed in a specialized institution, as a process and as a result.For the social integration of persons, the project envisages the construction of a social network, its maintenance and reconstruction. One of the most complex tasks the project addresses is to overcome the community's resistance to tolerance and empathy towards institutionalized persons.Equally important is the task of exiting the social exclusion of persons and their social inclusion outside the group of people accommodated in the specialized service.
