"I learn, know, can"

The project proposal aims at 60 women and men aged 20 to 50 years with intellectual disabilities and mental disorders housed in two specialized institutions (DPLEIs) in the Burgas region to acquire and upgrade their independent living skills through interactive training training in social skills, personal development and emotional competence.The following activities will be implemented: 1.Personal development and emotional competence - formation of autonomous personalities through group and individual training with a focus on self-discovery, behavioral and communicative models, stimulating social contacts; 2. Acquisition of skills for independent living, through interactive training and support to persons with disabilities to form and upgrade skills for self-structuring of their daily life, health, cultural, and other needs, thus expanding their opportunities for social inclusion and increase their quality of life; 3. Encouraging volunteering - involving 20 relatives and citizens from the community to actively participation in practical tasks and other activities inside and outside the institution to support the formation and promotion of social competences, communication skills and personal development of persons housed in the institutions as well as overcoming their social exclusion. As a result of the project proposal, 2 interactive training programs will be developed, adapted for people with intellectual disabilities and mental disorders, which will be made available to specialists from institutions for use in the training of others. The "Our Place" places created in each of the 2 DPPIs will be used by the accommodated persons, volunteers and their relatives after the completion of the project activities.
