Social Inclusion in Lukovit municipality

The project is targeted to families with children,incl.with disabilities and people with disabilities who need complex services to support their access to employment to improve their quality of life,by applying an integrated approach. We target parents who are not working because they stay at home to raise their children and therefore at risk of poverty, and children who need adequate care for early childhood development. These families will receive a range of services: on the one hand - social, psychological and health counselling services for the acquisition of theoretical and practical skills for early childhood development, and on the other - provision of subsidized employment for 6 people from this vulnerable group. Early childhood development experts and medical specialists in maternal, women's and children's health will provide in the "Parents' School".In two villages:Belentsi and Petrevene community centres will operate as part of the Centre for Community Support-Lukovit, providing early childhood development services for children aged 1 to 6,receiving a quality hourly care. Furniture, toys and educational materials will be provided. In the Community centres, the parents will be employed as babysitters and cleaning staff, a psychologist, social worker and lawyer will be also assigned.For people with disabilities, a set of measures is planned in order to activate them to access the labour market. Motivational and psychological support will be provided by qualified professionals - individual and group meetings to activate the target group will be held as well as an individual assessment for every participant prepared by a psychologist. Two people will be employed as community workers; the others will be offered vocational training in ICT “Text-processing” speciality. After completing the course the participants will be supported to register at the Labour Office in order to access the labour market.The project is 20 months and the employment will be 18 months.
