Integrated and sustainable support for vulnerable groups in Roman Municipality

Social integration is a prerequisite for successful and sustainable development of Bulgarian society. The integration of Roma and Bulgarian citizens in a vulnerable position belonging to other ethnic groups is an active bilateral process of social inclusion aimed at overcoming the negative socio-economic characteristics existing for them and the subsequent prosperity in society. The purpose of this project proposal is to create conditions for equal integration of Roma and Bulgarians in a vulnerable position from other ethnic groups in public and economic life by ensuring equal opportunities and equal access to opportunities, goods and services, participation in all public spheres and improving the quality of life while respecting the principles of equality and non-discrimination. The project applies a targeted integrated approach to the citizens of vulnerable groups in the municipality of Roman, which is implemented in within the overall strategy for combating poverty and exclusion. The project proposal envisages the implementation of activities for activation of economically inactive persons, psychological support, social and professional integration of the target groups with a focus on encouraging their participation in the labor market and creating skills for successful coping in the workplace and / or adaptation to working conditions upon their inclusion in employment. Expected results: engaging representatives of the target groups in the search for a job or starting a job; improving their professional qualifications; involving disadvantaged participants with education or training, integration into the educational system of children and young people from marginalized groups; empowering Roma and disadvantaged people to receive social and health services, raising their awareness of their social and health rights, etc.
