Professional integration of young people through complex support and development

Following the professional experience and the long-term methodological work of the association in the field of social inclusion, specific problems have been identified among the young people at risk, which are the most profound in the small settlements in Varna region. Direct work indicates a lack of motivation, incentives for professional development and employment, due to early school leaving, low activity and independence in personal and life terms, and local employers are often left without qualified staff, despite the desire for their training and consistent development. The project offers a solution to this problem by developing a partnership between the NGO and the employer in the construction industry, solving the problem of shortage of construction workers and providing at least 8 young people at risk for employment in the region. Following the gradual identification of at-risk youths up to 29 years, through information campaigns, project consultants will support at least 12 at risk youths by working 120 hours with each individual to prepare an individual profile of needs, targeting continuing education and registration with the Labor Market. The project offers a package of training-motivational, vocational training and key competences for 10 at risk youths, after which 8 of them will be involved in employment. They will be provided with equipment in the workplace, and through mentoring support, will help to ensure proper and lasting involvement in the work process, activity and integration. The set of activities over a 20-month period will contribute to the sustainable employment of at least half of the employed youth at risk after the end of the project. The management team will monitor the progress of each activity and will promote the results and activities throughout the period in view of the EU and OP HRD support provided. To achieve the expected results, activities will be implemented through an individual, integrated and multicultural approach.
