Expanding the capacity of the social enterprise "The Social Teahouse" under the IDEA Association through ensuring the integration and employment of youth in alternative care

The project aims to expand the capacity of the existing social enterprise under the IDEA Association, ensuring integration and a workplace for youngsters at risk and coming from residential services. Through a previous procedure under the OP “Development of human resources” in the past year, the social enterprise introduced a new service. It bought equipment for a fast food restaurant to serve warm food and drinks thanks to which it ensured employment to six youngsters in marginalized groups. The planned project activities will create conditions for the development of the results through the inclusion of more youngsters from marginalized groups, living in social and economic isolation or using residential services, and providing them with opportunities for education, inclusion, employment, personal, and professional development. Eight people from disadvantaged groups will be employed for the position of kitchen worker in a fast-food restaurant. The project foresees activities related to renovation, equipment, and adaptation of the new work places, which will also help the work environment of the already employed staff. The association will aid in the sustainability and development of social entrepreneurship through the realization of effective activities and campaigns to popularise the results and the social impact of the candidate’s activities. It will also use instruments for the encouragement of the creation of new social enterprises and solving societal problems through social innovations.
