"Establishing the social service "Mental retardation individuals care center in the village of Imrenchevo, minicipality of Veliki Preslav"

The main activities that will be implemented to achieve project's goal include: - Preparatory activities: -- Organization for the transfer of consumers from the state psychiatric hospital to the MRCC in the village of Imrenchevo. -- Recruitment and introductory training of staff. The Center will accommodate 15 people, for whom needs assessments will be prepared in advance and individual plans by the local Social sssistance directorate. Selected users will be prepared for their removal from the specialized institution and their placement in the new service. They will then be transferred to MRCC in the village of Imrenchevo. The number and type of employees who will take care of the quality provision of the service is consistent with the need and the needs of the specific users and the need for 24 hour presence in the Center. - Development of internal rules for the activity of MRCC. - Establishing MRCC and provision of the service to 15 users for a period of 1 year. The renovated building, intended for opening the social service is located in the village of Imrenchevo, municipality of Veliki Preslav, nearby to the center of the village. It consists of 7 bedrooms with bathrooms, living room, staff room, laundry and storage room and kitchen with dining area. Therapeutic, counseling and rehabilitation activities will be carried out by 5 specialists: 2 occupational therapists, a social worker and 2 nurses, who will assist and support the users and their relatives through individual and / or group activities. Non-specialized staff of five paramedics and a host will take care of the hygiene in the building and will participate in the food preparation. They will provide a round-the-clock presence in the building of the center. This will enable consumers to live in a peaceful and close to family environment with the necessary living conditions, professional support, emotional and mental stability, social contacts and community living.
