Establishment of a Center for care of elderly people with mental disorders - Dryanovo

This project proposal aims to create an opportunity for independent and dignified life for people with mental illness by providing quality, affordable and effective cross-sectoral long-term care services tailored to the needs of the target groups. Identify target groups covering adults with mental health problems and families, employees of social and health service providers. The project will provide support for target groups by opening 7 residential social services - Center for care of persons with mental disorders. The seven centers will be based in newly built under a project under OPRD 2014-2020 seven two-story buildings, each of which will have a capacity for 15 users. The implementation of the project will last 22 months, starting with activities related to the preparation of procedures under the Public Procurement Act and selection of contractors for furniture and equipment, development of rules for regulating services, outsourcing the implementation of services to a social service provider, hiring and staff training, preparatory activities and accommodation of users, providing new social. The provision of residential services will take place over a period of 12 months and will meet the needs of 105 users. The expected results are the creation of a new form of social service, whose work is focused on the interaction of the individual and the environment in the community, formed life skills based on the individual capabilities of the people who use the services; changed public attitudes towards people who encounter difficulties due to the presence of mental disorders. As a result of the project implementation, capacity will be built to provide residential care for people with mental disorders.
