New long-term care for elderly and for people with disabilities - Stage 2 - providing new services

In the framework of the project a new social service will be introduced to the residents of Kazanlak Municipality, namely Daycare center for people with different forms of dementia and their families. The service will function in Kazanlak and it will be with capacity of 40 people. With the introduction of the new service the people with different forms of dementia and their families will be provided with the opportunity to change their usual physical and social environment and to take part in different activities, in accordance with their capabilities. Target group of the new Daycare Center will be people from the specialized institutions as well as people living in a family environment. With the introduction of the Daycare Center an effective measure for prevention of institutionalization for the people with different forms of dementia will be provided. The Daycare Center will function for 12 months. There will be a selection of specialized, help and administrative personnel as well as selection of the service users. Consumables, materials, supplies and assets will be delivered, services needed for the implementation of the project will be provided. For the implementation of the project will be used the infrastructure, equipment and furniture, built and delivered in the framework of Operation Program “Growing Regions” 2014-2020. The project will help the people with different forms of dementia and their families to have an independent life in accordance with their real needs. The focus of the project will be to provide a pleasant environment and care, based on respect, which will give the people with dementia an opportunity to feel good, to be valuable for other people and to build relationships so that their standard of life is improved. The access to daycare for the people with dementia will ease the negatives consequences of the members of the their families, they will have the chance to work, as well as take care of their own needs.
