CONTINUING SUPPORT FOR DEINSTITUTIONALIZATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE - STAGE 2 - Provision of social and integrated health and social services for children and families COMPONENT 2

The project will provide a smooth transition from institutional care for children to a family-friendly care by providing new integrated health and social services across the country, and will support families in early childhood care. The project will introduce the provision of new integrated health and social services for children and families that will be based in 20 Center for Specialized Healthcare for Children with Disabilities with the need for permanent medical care and 6 Centers for Specialized Health and Social Care for children with high-risk behavior and the need for special health care. The 26 Centers will provide health-social residential services, counseling and therapeutic qualified support for children with high-risk behavior and the need for special health care and temporary resident care in case of need. The implementation of these activities will contribute to the quality of service provision in the community, which will help deinstitutionalize childcare while strengthening support for families to raise children in a family environment and prevent the separation of children from families. The project will be implemented throughout the country, with a duration of 28 months and a total budget of BGN 18 444 864.00.
