„Patronage care for elderly and people with disabilities for prevention of the spread of COVID-19 in the municipality of Pomorie“

The project „Patronage care for elderly and people with disabilities for prevention of the spread of COVID-19 in the municipality of Pomorie“ will help the implementation of the measures during the state of emergency in the country and the accompanying mandatory social isolation, by establishing a network of services in support of keeping public health and improving the well-being of the local residents. The main goal: prevention of the risk of social exclusion of elderly and people with disabilities, by ensuring supportive services at home. The specific goals of the project are: • Prevention of the social exclusion and reducing the health risk for vulnerable groups of people at the territory of the municipality of Pomorie, by organising and providing a network of services, in view of limiting the spread of COVID-19. • Provision of the project services at the territory of Pomorie municipality with the necessary material and staff resources, in the context of the epidemic situation in the country. The project is planned to include 82 people, representatives of the target group, residents of the municipality. The planned activities in the project are: 1. Recruitment and hiring of staff for provision of services for overcoming the consequences of the coronavirus. 2. Delivery of food, groceries and essential goods, including medication, payment of utility bills, requesting and receiving urgent administrative services. 3. Transport of the staff, providing the services, from/to the homes of the people. Providing personal protective equipment and disinfectants for the staff of the services. Expected results: ensured resource for provision of services for overcoming the consequences of the coronavirus. The target group is supported for the duration of the project. Reduced risk from social isolation consequences due to the coronavirus. Increased level of protection of public health in a pandemic crisis.
