"Hope for future" home visiting care for adults and people with disabilities in the municipality of Kaolinovo

The project proposal will provide support to elderly and people with disabilities, who have the most difficulties in their everyday lives in a period of crisis, related to COVID-19. These target groups are very limited in possibilities for supplying themselves with food, medication and administrative services, which increases the risks for their health and life. The main goal of the project is to improve the quality of life and remove the barriers to social inclusion of people at risk, for whom it is difficult to meet their basic needs and face new challenges in a period of crisis. In addition, the project supports not just those, directly affected by the crisis (people most threatened by COVID-19 and people in quarantine), but also helps for prevention of the spread of the epidemic among the community. The expected short-term effects of the achievement of the goal are related to ensuring support to vulnerable elderly with and without disabilities for dealing with their everyday lives in the municipality of Kaolinovo. The main activities, planned in the project, are recruitment of staff for management and provision of the service and provision of support at home, through buying the necessary products, medication and payment of utility bills. The project envisions activities for ensuring secure access of the staff to the users of the service by providing protective equipment and transport. It is expected that the number of users will be 46 people in 16 locations in the municipality. A separate space for dispatch center is envisioned, which will be equipped to coordinate the project activities. The duration of the project is 8 months and the services will be provided hourly, depending on the needs of the target groups for 10 months.
