This project proposal is oriented towards support for elderly and people with disabilities who in a period of crisis have many difficulties in taking care of themselves and their everyday functioning. The main goal of the project is to improve the quality of life and remove the barriers towards social inclusion of people at risk, who in a period of crisis have difficulty in meeting their everyday needs and face new challenges, caused by the changed situation. The project contributes to supporting those directly affected by the crisis (people most threatened by COVID-19, as well as people in quarantine) and to preventing the spread of the virus among other target groups in the community. The expected short-term effects from the achievement of the goal are related to ensuring support to elderly with and without disabilities in Sofia municipality –Poduene region for dealing with their everyday lives. The main activities, by which the goal will be realised, are recruitment of teams for management and provision of the service, ensuring home support, purchase of the necessary products and medication/with means of comsumers/, payment of utility bills and urgent administrative services. In view of ensuring access of the users to the service, as well as their safety, protective equipment for the staff of the service and transport, if necessary, will be provided. It is expected that the number of users will be 135 people. A separate space for a dispatch center is envisioned, where the activities will be coordinated. The duration of the project is 10 months and the services will be provided for the whole period.
