Patronage Care in the Districts of Oborishte and Vitosha, Sofia Greater Municipality

The present pandemic situation, caused by the coronavirus disease, has been declared an international public health emergency. Given the continued spread of COVID-19, including on the territory of Bulgaria, it is important to take adequate and timely measures against its further spreading and to limit the consequences of its impact. The implementation of the current project proposal aims at mitigating the effects of the pandemic crisis on vulnerable groups of society - elderly people over 65 years with disabilities or being in position of not being able to take care of themselves, people with disabilities and their families and adults at risk living on the territory of the Districts of Oborishte and Vitosha, Sofia Greater Municipality. This will be achieved through the provision of social services: the supply of food, foodstuffs, including medicines (purchased with consumer funds or by means other than the grant contract), payment of household bills, application and receipt of urgent administrative services (by means of consumers or by means other than those of the grant contract) but the list is not exhaustive. The services provided will be tailored to the personal needs of the users. Within the current project proposal, 199 people from the target group will be included, distributed as follows - 85 persons for the District of Oborishte and 114 persons for the District of Vitosha.
