New Standards for Social Services

The project aims to improve the accessibility, efficiency and quality of social services as well as the implementation of the process of deinstitutionalization of care for children and adults, including people with disabilities, through development of up to date quality and financing standards in accordance with the users’ needs. Specific objectives: 1. Improving the organization of financing of services and introducing flexible models for financing and valuation of social services; 2. Improving the quality of social services and establishing an effective system for monitoring and control of their quality; 3. Improving legislation in the services area; 4. Improving the process of planning, management and updating of social inclusion policies. Main activities: 1. Project administration and management; 2. Developing/updating of financial models for valuation of social services provision; 3. Developing/updating of quality standards for social services; 4. Drafting proposals for amendment to the relevant legislation; 5. Supporting the process of planning, management and updating of social inclusion policies including through preparation of an Action Plan for implementation of the National Strategy for Long Term Care /deinstitutionalization of care for the elderly and people with disabilities/; 6. Assessment and analysis in the field of social inclusion on the effectiveness of social services provided to vulnerable groups; 7. Information and publicity - development and printing information materials related to the project objectives and activities; organizing and conducting information events. The implementation of the project activities will contribute to the adequate planning and implementation of social inclusion policies.
