For better quality and efficiency of social services in Bulgaria

The project envisages activities that will create and organize the activities of the new Agency for the quality of social services. The Agency for Quality of Social Services will be an executive agency under the Minister of Labor and Social Policy and will oversee and monitor the provision of social services at national level. To this end, the following activities will be implemented under the project: 1. Preparatory activities to ensure the activities of the Agency for the quality of social services and the creation of new jobs, incl. through the renovation of an existing building and purchase of equipment and furnishings. 2. Conducting training of employees regarding the new legislation in the field of social services, incl. and training to support the implementation of the functions of the Agency to control and to monitor the social services. 3. Development of analyzes, methodological materials / methodologies, training packages, etc. in relation to the functions of the Agency to control and to monitor the social services. 4. Development of criteria for the analysis of good practices for high quality and efficiency of social services. 5. Activities to pilot the annual national monitoring of the status and effectiveness of social services. 6. Training of social service providers regarding the quality standards of social services. The implementation of the project activities aims at creating an effectively functioning monitoring and control system, as well as ensuring a smooth transition to the new legislation in the field of social services, which will contribute to guaranteeing higher quality and efficiency of social services. All information and communication activities under the project will be implemented in accordance to the conditions and requirements described in the Beneficiary Uniform Handbook for Implementation of the Information and Communication Rules 2014-2020.
