Innovative approaches to entrepreneurship and self-employment in Borovo Municipality

The proposed project will be implemented in Borovo Municipality, Ruse District. The Municipality is characterized by low economic activity and high level of unemployment. There is no a developed network of vocational training adequate to the needs of local economy. There is lack of potential for development of entrepreneurship. There is no developed infrastructure of services to support the business. The present project is connected with Investment Priority 4 of the OP “HRDevelopment”2014-2020. The activities are aimed to transfer 2 social innovations from Ancona, Italy. The first one is oriented to development a model to work with individuals who want to start their own business and their training. The second one is connected with the establishment of a business center. The innovations are based on existing approaches but are applied first to the Municipality. The target group consists of 20 persons willing to start own business including unemployed; self-employed; workers in micro enterprises; cooperatives; farmers. Project activities are: increasing the capacity of the partners and stakeholders in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of innovative approaches; adaptation and transfer of innovative practices for entrepreneurship and start of own business, establishment of Business center – Borovo; evaluation of the achievements and the applicability of the implemented innovative practices; dissemination of the results; management and administration; information and communication. Results: 5 identified and 2 social innovations transferred; applied partnership approaches for the development of labor market in Borovo Municipality to reduce unemployment and to stimulate local economic development; build specific skills for beginning own business; established and developed business center; increased administrative capacity of the municipal for the implementation of effective and efficient policies to stimulate the economic activities.
