Social innovations for inclusion of ethnic and vulnerable groups in Sozopol Municipality

The project proposal is aimed at increasing the capacity and effectiveness of the employees of key relevant stakeholders - the municipal administration and socio-economic partners in Sozopol municipality, to identify, adapt and implement social innovations for inclusion of ethnic communities and vulnerable groups. The introduction of social innovations is necessitated by the fact that the municipal administration and socio-economic partners do not, at present, have sufficient capacity for the identification and implementation of new models and practices in social services, and also because the provided social services for ethnic and vulnerable group are ineffective in terms of the potential for social inclusion. Within the project will be implemented activities to explore the potential for social innovations and practical training for prototyping and implementation of two already identified social innovations for inclusion through employment of Roma and long-term unemployed people. It is envisaged also to establish local, regional and international partnerships for consultation, exchange of experience and best practices. As a result of the project will be built sustainable capacity of the competent officials of the municipal administration and socio-economic partners to identify, adapt and implement social innovations for inclusion of ethnic and vulnerable groups as well as practical experience in their implementation, which will be applicable in other regions, as well as for other target groups.
