“Three approaches to equal opportunities for people with mental illness”

The proposal sets tasks related to establishment and improvement of transnational cooperation between the candidate and three organizations from different European states, in order to achieve transfer of good approaches which are to be the basis for the development of three separate social innovations. The innovative practices are aimed at improving conditions of life and employment, as well as social inclusion of some of the most vulnerable individuals–people with mental disorders, their children and families. The proposal relates to IP 5 – adaptation of workers and enterprises to the changes and IP 8–active inclusion, encouragement of equal possibilities and increasing the resources for employment of people with mental disorders, decreasing the risk of social exclusion of children with a mentally ill parent. Innovation I is a model for inclusion of people with mental disorders in working environment and provides a series of measures and techniques increasing their capability for employment. Innovation II–system for supporting children at risk who have a mentally ill parent. Innovation III–method for fighting depression and suicide focused on employees and employers. The three social innovations, with know-how of the partners from Austria, Germany and Hungary, include all stages for implementation of new practices, studying, development, impregnation and assessment. The introduced innovations increase the capacity of the candidate when working with relevant vulnerable groups and disseminating methods in institutions;policy makers; employers and specialists–stability is achieved and that is prerequisite for the formulating of effective policies at national level. The intended networks, seminars and forums secure the realization of added value and application of the operations in actual practice. The project increases the effectiveness of the measures for fighting poverty, social risk, stimulating equal possibilities and improving work conditions in Bulgaria
