Partnership policy as a trigger for lifelong learning, innovation and change

The “Partnership policy as a trigger for lifelong learning, innovation and change” project proposal addresses the problem of skill mismatches in the labour market in Bulgaria and Flanders, Belgium. Thus, the proposal adopts the idea that in order to face the challenges associated with social inclusion, quality of jobs, working conditions, etc., it is necessary to support lifelong learning (LLL) as an essential factor for building adequate skills and competences in order to foster social innovation and boost the economic development. In this context, the project proposal is oriented towards improving the equal access to lifelong learning for the employees and self-employed persons, through establishing a transnational partnership, in order to set up a framework for innovative and sustainable social initiatives for support of LLL, as well as for improving the existing policies in the field. In order to achieve that, the project proposal envisages the implementation of the following main activities: 1) Preparation of specific analyses and studies (incl. through study visits abroad) of the existing best practices and experiences of other Member States in the field of LLL; 2) Increasing the capacity of the partner organisations and relevant stakeholders, regarding the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of best practices for ensuring equal access to LLL; 3) Adaptation and pilot implementation of the studied best practices in the field of LLL through the elaboration of training content (incl. recommendations for LLL policies) and organisation of training workshops for representatives of the project target group; 4) Building up of national and inclusion in international networks for exchange of best practices in the area of LLL.
