"Creating a social informative portal and a peer-to-peer network for the transfer of innovative practices for information and opportunities to provide “green jobs” in the field of the young people's labor market"

This project proposal addresses the identified problem of high youth unemployment, especially those who are not engaged in employment, education or training, including those at risk of social exclusion, by offering a specific solution by transferring two social innovations: - transfer of good practice to address the risks and adverse effects of the social exclusion of young unemployed people through transnational cooperation to pilot a web-based information portal for the so called “Green jobs”; - transfer of good practice to tackle the maintenance of green areas in settlements through transnational cooperation for sustainable labor market integration in the publicly beneficial “green jobs” of economically inactive young people up to 29 years of age from the target group;. The project proposal is linked to the implementation of IP2, as the selected target group directly related to the defined social challenges is: Economically inactive young people who are not in education and training, aged 15-29, incl. High levels of unemployment among the target group are based on a number of factors: lack of specific knowledge and skills, lack of professional experience, limited education. The Municipality of Popovo is systematically trying to overcome it and the activities included in the project are directly related to its solution in an innovative way. The partners will implement a social experiment through which 30 unemployed young people on the territory of Popovo Municipality will be interviewed and consulted through direct interviews and online consultations and trained to develop and build up sustainable skills and employability, directly linked to the maintenance of green areas in an innovative way. This innovative social experiment will involve building and institutionalizing online job-based services tailored to the individual needs of young people by transferring and building up good practices across EU countries.
