NEETsLAB mentoring throught innovations - mission is possible

Among the most serious barriers to active labor market inclusion for NEETs young is the lack of qualification, motivation, job search experience and information deficit. The lack of these skills is valid not only for the research area of the project but also valid for the NEETs group in a transnational aspect. The project envisages the implementation of transnational co-operation between a Bulgarian NGO working on NEETs and a Finnish university with experience in behavioral research and development and development of tools for positive impact on NEETs. The co-operation is aimed at transferring social innovations for mentoring between partners, as well as jointly developing models for the so called “generational intelligent mentoring tools”. The transfer and development of social innovations under the project will enable the sustainable use of new solutions to fill NEETs information, education and qualification deficits as well as their activation towards the labor market. The target group of the project are representatives of the ages 15 to 29 who are not engaged in work, education or training, namely 12 young people who will participate in Activity 3, 20 youngsters – in Activity 4, and also secondary (indirect) target group – institutions which through their work are responsible for NEETs (Labor Agency, Social Departments, NGOs, Ministry of Education, schools, Vocational Centers, Local authorities, employers, etc.). The objectives of the project are: 1. Exchange of good practices, know-how and knowledge among transnational partners; 2. Transforming social innovation into a mature model for NEET mentoring - "MATTI - Men's journeys to work" 3. Testing of "New Generation Intelligent mentoring Tools". Expected results are: 1) transfer and implementation of practices to 12 young people from the target group of social innovation - "MATTI-Men's journeys to work"; 2) new solutions and models developed and tested through intergenerational transfer of intellect.
